ECHOES THROUGH TIME

I

In youth’s bright bloom at seventeen’s first light,
Unburdened by the weight of worldly care,
Beneath June’s moon, where lime trees weave the night,
We roam, our spirits free, with dreams to bear.

The lime trees’ fragrance scents the gentle air,
Soft zephyrs weave a melody of grace,
Where town and vine entwine without a care,
A symphony of odors interlace.

II

Amidst this scene, a scrap of azure sky,
Framed by a branch, a star’s ethereal gleam,
Mingling with fate, its gentle shivers fly,
Whispers of white in cosmic’s tender dream.

Oh, June’s embrace! At seventeen, the wine,
An elixir of life, within us flows,
Two wandering souls, their destinies align,
A stolen kiss, where the heart’s journey shows.

III

A heart unchained, dreams reaching evermore,
In moonlight’s glow, beneath a lamp’s embrace,
A maiden dances, curiosity to explore,
Her father’s sternness softened by her grace.

Her innocence ignites a spark anew,
In ankle boots, she steps with vibrant grace,
She turns, a world awakens in her view,
Unspoken songs and secrets interlace.

IV

Love’s tender grip, through August’s fervent fire,
In sonnet’s verse, her laughter finds its place,
Friends fade, as love fulfills its bold desire,
One evening’s words, love’s gentle, sweet embrace.

Once more to cafes’ charm, I make my way,
For ale or lemonade, my choice is clear,
At seventeen, wisdom’s dawn is still at bay,
As lime trees grace the promenade so dear.

ACROSS THE AGES WORDS PERSIST

I

in youth’s sweet bloom of seventeen, so bright,
unshackled by the weight of worldly care,
‘neath lime trees’ shade on june’s fair-spun night,
we wander free, our spirits unaware.

the scent of lime trees graces fragrant air,
soft winds a melody of scents bestow,
as town and vine entwine in flair,
a symphony of odors, to and fro.

II

amidst this scene, a scrap of blue divine,
framed by a branch, a star’s delicate trace,
melted by fate, its soft shivers align,
whispers of white in tender cosmic space.

oh, june’s embrace! at seventeen, the wine,
champagne of sap that swirls within our minds,
wandering souls, a stolen kiss entwine,
a tiny pulse of life, the heart reminds.

III

a heart untamed, dreams questing evermore,
in moonlight’s glow, beneath a lamp’s embrace,
a girl appears, her steps a dance to explore,
her father’s collar stern, framing her grace.

her naiveté ignites a spark anew,
in ankle boots, she walks with vibrant grace,
she turns, awakens, with gaze so true,
unspoken songs perish, leaving trace.

IV

love’s embrace, through august’s fervent blaze,
in sonnet’s lines, her laughter finds its space,
friends fade, as love demands my wandering gaze,
one evening, her words, a tender embrace.

once more to cafes’ dazzle, i return,
for ale or lemonade, the choice is mine,
at seventeen, wisdom’s fire yet to burn,
as lime trees grace the promenade divine.

LA CATEDRAL

Hail the uncompleted verse, in its state so diverse,
Within the lines it bides, for its moment to immerse,
A saga unresolved, a tale of noir and mist,
Woven into clarity, till its essence truly kissed.

Among metaphoric whispers, it wanders, seeks and lingers,
Words elusive, fleeting, like ephemeral singers,
Past rhymes have had their say, yet this one hesitates,
Questing for its resolution, as time oscillates.

Resting on imperfect beats, where irregularity meets,
Time becomes its partner, as patience softly greets,
Struggling through the maze, where fragments intertwine,
The unfinished rhyme persists, till its stars align.

Finally, the awaited instance gleams, as reality redeems,
The rhyme declares its truth, fulfilling its destined themes,
Contentment finds its way, a sublime, sweet release,
Unfurling its wings of words, soaring with newfound peace.
