THE MIDNIGHT STREETS ARE A MIRROR

BELIEVE me when i never told you how gracious
kept pain can be: that i never spoke
those words; the yellow eyes of crying lies
which were \we’d group/
with pretty people on wet midnight streets
like fragrant picked fruit distinctly grouped
very cadmium so reassuringly
— whoa this is bravery

with water-rainbow tints and all the laughter of
liquor-veined beauty ~~ :
today they are raising
a monument by the sea
called YOUTH

YOUTHFUL larger MATURE giants

And the fields of color           bending down to smile
bowing through and through
when you –> passing by ||    the sun feels you
~~~~~ turning the screw
  || all of you ||
And the shadows of mind      all the way near
the river of lost souls    s c r e a m     “OH YOU!”
We are the living souls  of lost paradise .
Youthful larger !
 \/\/\/   mature GIANTS   \/\/\/
sO oh hell yeah : it’s     way down humble’a
nimblest future dream  when we begin to grow
so way down into night   we feel how life says
“Stand up! Be counted!”
Whatever you need is all within that heart that beats:
Youthful larger mature giants
   so beyond the grasp of        mental midget minds
   A SALUTE TO YOU!

ever dreaming sweet soul I see how so low the moon
is and the music blows all through my mind
everything you felt is life
And I was speechless I saw you run around the world
so bright and you never lost your spot until tonight
And the world doesn’t sing anymore and I touched your
hand and say, “Dear what is everything if not light?”
I should have known
I should have turned
I should have gave you
all I am and more
It’s burning like a sun
and I will beat it everyday until I see your smile return
It’s all a heart beat so lovely it’s all a heart beat
and I’m dying inside the ember of your losing light girl
