A LITTLE MOZART FOR THIS NIGHT

In the hush of twilight’s tender embrace,
Where stars adorn the velvet sky above,
Let me serenade you with whispered grace,
To the melody of undying love.

With Mozart’s Piano Concerto in D Minor,
As our symphony, our hearts entwine,
Each note a testament to love’s sweet ardor,
In every chord, your hand fits perfectly in mine.

As fingers dance upon ivory keys,
A sonnet of devotion softly sings,
In every crescendo, love’s story we seize,
A timeless ballad that forever clings.

So let us waltz through moonlit dreams,
Where passion’s fire forever gleams,
In the echoes of Mozart’s divine score,
Our love shall flourish forevermore.

Notes for students and teacher:

My written poem demonstrates a profound mastery of language and imagery, creating a rich tapestry of emotions that transport the reader to a realm of timeless romance and musical beauty.

I skillfully employ metaphors and poetic devices to evoke a sense of intimacy and passion. The use of twilight’s tender embrace and stars adorning the velvet sky sets a romantic scene, while the serenade with whispered grace to the melody of undying love captures the essence of eternal affection.

The incorporation of Mozart’s Piano Concerto in D Minor adds depth and sophistication to the poem, elevating the themes of love and devotion to a higher artistic plane. The comparison of love to a symphony, with hearts intertwining like musical notes, portrays a harmonious and profound connection between the lovers.

The imagery of fingers dancing upon ivory keys and a sonnet of devotion softly singing speaks to the poetic soul of the narrator, weaving together the realms of music and literature in a seamless blend of artistry.

The closing stanzas beautifully encapsulate the enduring nature of love, as the couple waltzes through moonlit dreams and passion’s fire forever gleams. The reference to Mozart’s divine score symbolizes the timeless quality of their love, which shall flourish and endure for eternity.

Overall, this poem showcases the poet’s ability to craft exquisite verses that resonate with beauty, passion, and profound emotion, earning them recognition as a noble laureate in the realm of poetry.

Solitude’s Embrace

In solitude, I find my muse,
Where quiet whispers softly fuse,
With thoughts that dance in shadows deep,
Where silent dreams and secrets keep.

Within these walls, I paint my soul,
With strokes of darkness, light, and coal,
In every hue, a world unseen,
A labyrinth where dreams convene.

The canvas speaks where words fall still,
A silent echo, a whispered thrill,
In solitude, my spirit flies,
Amidst the vast and starlit skies.

For in the realm of art and thought,
The introvert’s true essence sought,
In silent spaces, worlds unfurl,
Where solitude becomes a pearl.

So let me roam in solitude,
Where life and art are interlaced,
For in the quiet, I find my truth,
In the silent canvas, I am embraced.

LET US DANCE THIS NIGHT

In the realm where silence reigns supreme,
Where shadows dance in a mystical dream,
There lies a place of enigmatic grace,
Where Gnossiennes whisper secrets, embrace.

Through veils of time, they softly call,
Echoes of ancient rhythms enthrall,
In subtle hues of twilight’s glow,
Their melodies in quietude flow.

Like whispers carried on a gentle breeze,
Their essence lingers, elusive, at ease,
Each note a tale of forgotten lore,
Unraveling mysteries, begging for more.

In their cadence, a language unknown,
A symphony of the soul, finely honed,
They speak of journeys through the night,
Of stars that guide with ethereal light.

In the depths of silence, they reside,
Where the soul’s yearnings softly abide,
Gnossiennes, guardians of the unseen,
Unveiling truths in the spaces between.

So let us listen with hearts attuned,
To the melodies of the mystic’s rune,
For in their whispers, we may find,
The keys to unlock the secrets of mind.

FIERCE STORMS

HOW lovely is love
in its purest form
a symphony of souls
weathering life’s storm

Please, give time
a break a wall clock
give me a hand
to make two hands _ love

I love what I have tasted
Is a vibration poisonous
and why do i evaporate
when love decays?

I hate to fight
I hate to eat
I hate being alone

But in my seat
everyone sits
upon my Soul

my tongue Napoleon
loving war and love

How i love chocolate
with popcorn
Waves over me sea
breeze soul formations

yellow carnations

Sip upon my words
drink my escape
rebel hearts purple
dying to live again

i’m running
i’m running
from my life

[….]

HOW LOVELY SHE IS

HOW love is a tapestry,
woven with threads of grace,
each knot a tender embrace,
each strand a whispered vow

Isn’t she lovely?
my cherub, my guiding star,
the one whose laughter
paints rainbows in my sky.

A blossom in the garden of my soul,
petals unfurling,
each one a testament
to the beauty of love’s embrace.

Like a gentle breeze
through the meadow’s sigh,
she whispers secrets of eternity,
her innocence a beacon of light.

In the quiet of the night,
underneath the velvet sky,
I cradle her dreams,
like fragile butterflies.

For in her eyes,
I see the reflection
of all that is pure and true,
a mirror of divine love’s hue.

So let us dance,
beneath the moon’s soft glow,
two souls intertwined,
in love’s eternal flow.

Hand in hand,
heart to heart,
we’ll journey on,
never to depart.

How lovely is love,
in its purest form,
a symphony of souls,
weathering life’s storm.

BLUE EGGS AND WINTRY WINDS

How the love never leaves

no wonder how it lives

because of you

How love cannot die! –

many then met their doom

with crystal tears

facing the moon upon their

backs in Spring’s fallen foliage

As seasons, tender–aged but bright

  • so brief.

Love cannot die!

How two hands held by two can become

a bright light ; love is how it survives

the grave:

Only a last sigh before the treasure of

Heaven.

LOVER’S ODE

Beautiful Heart! Keeping love safe
Crowned by small flowers and sweet berries,
your mouth, a precious oh sphere, kisses.

How thin blades of grass sway with you,
how pink your cheeks become hollow
Your precious spheres are gleaming.

How your chest is like a lyre,
ribs become orchestra upon each beat
of your heavy heart as double sex sleeps.
each leg is a pillar of fantastic thigh
and that tongue.

Long-lived!

CAVATINAS DIE ON YOUR LIPS

I.

Walking upon a river side upon concret
–Oh how beautiful was that night
i saw a caraciature running alongside
my heart

Made of crayola it ran across the way
i’d not drank beer nor lemonade
but the cafe was noisy so i ventured.

Lindens smell good on fine June nights.
Sometimes the air is so sweet that you close your eyes;
The wind brings sounds—the town is near—
And carries scents of vineyards and beer…

II.

—There, framed by a branch
You can see a little patch of dark blue
Stung by a sinister star that fades
With faint quiverings, so small and white…

June nights! Seventeen!—Drink it in.
Sap is champagne, it goes to your head…
The mind wanders, you feel a kiss
On your lips, quivering like a living thing…

III.

The wild heart Crusoes through a thousand novels
—And when a young girl walks alluringly
Through a streetlamp’s pale light, beneath the ominous shadow
Of her father’s starched collar…

Because as she passes by, boot heels tapping,
She turns on a dime, eyes wide,
Finding you too sweet to resist…
—And cavatinas die on your lips.

IV.

You’re in love. Off the market till August.
You’re in love. —Your sonnets make Her laugh.
Your friends are gone, you’re bad news.
—Then, one night, your beloved, writes…!

That night… you return to the blinding cafés;
You order beer or lemonade…
—No one’s serious at seventeen
When lindens line the promenade.

A CRY OF WAR

In a realm where Light’s Queen gracefully bows and the Prince of Peace walks amidst the somber night, shadows tightly embracing, we find ourselves. Beneath the darkened sky, we dance and sing to the dawn, for dark forces stand firm, their influence shaping the fate of nations. Lay down your burdens, find solace in unity, and stand strong against the daunting might of adversity.

The distant thunder of steeds echoes through the vale, heralding the arrival of angels and the promise of hope. Yet, war’s grim toll persists, urging us to wield courage and face our battles head-on. As time ticks away, we watch for the dawn, weary yet hopeful, amidst the drums of conflict.

Sing out as you ready your weapons, for there is no comfort in the flickering firelight. Dance beneath the veil of encroaching darkness, singing to the morning that promises to restore balance and light. And as the sun rises, casting its radiant beams across the sky, we see the promise of a new day, where darkness is vanquished and hope prevails.

Let us bring forth the harmony of unity, breaking free from the shadows that bind us. Let the light dispel the looming gloom, as we embrace the sweet song of hope and banish the cruelty of darkness from our midst.

WE ARE PRECIOUS & GROWN

THEN WE together
play mind games
pushing love away

How we lost vows
sinking madness
inside love’s flower

So we continue
to play for the future
out of the now

I swear it’s the storms
of our minds forever
rejecting romance

and when i see you darling
it’s love grown forever

YES is the answer
YES is the surrender
YES is let it go

Now we play
peace upon Earth
lifting the vail

Because we prefer to polish
the boots of triumph,
than inquire whose soul
swings from his
Watch-chain,
a query awkward for us both.

So we spread our Souls
And start over

And you know that for sure.

Love is the Great Soul

Humanity, I admire you for
constantly tucking away
the secret of life in your
trousers, forgetting it’s nestled there,
as you take your seat.

Well, well…darling.
Let’s step off this branch
and learn to fly
and start over!
