The Tiger Who Grew Old

Once I thought you a tiger,
Now a kitten, frail and small,
Once so fierce, your roar resounding,
Now a whisper, faint and pall.

Your eyes, once ablaze with fire,
Now dimmed by time’s relentless march,
Once you prowled with graceful stride,
Now you stumble in the dark.

Gone the days of wild defiance,
Now surrender to the night,
Once a ruler of the jungle,
Now a shadow, lost in flight.

Yet in your gentle purring,
Lies the echo of your past,
Once a king, now humbled servant,
Memories fading, fading fast.

Once I thought you a tiger,
Now a kitten, frail and thin,
Once so fierce, but now I see,
You were always gentle within.

No Title for Death

In shadows deep, where thoughts do flee, The mortician’s hand doth lay on me. To rest, to sleep, no longer sane, In death’s embrace, I now remain.

A scream within, a silent cry, As pale as death, as cold as night. My form he checks, with careful ease, A ghastly dance, a grim disease.

With bath and song, a mournful tune, He tends to me beneath the moon. Two hands of strength, with skill and grace, Set my visage, in death’s embrace.

Arterial flow, a crimson tide, Drains away, where secrets hide. The hollow core, where souls decay, Is purged and cleansed, in grim array.

The hum of death, a ceaseless sound, As flames of desire doth surround. With final breath, I shed my skin, To face the void, to face within.

And in that moment, once again, I ponder choice, in death’s domain. To linger still, or flee the night, In death’s passages, eternal flight.

IMHOTEP AND HORDJEDEF

WORLD my nectaur ~~~ oh, spirit
while the sun eats my woes
the ground heals my soul
Light passes across fertile ground
upon night death a kindly fate
how ancestors in time weep
the gods now rest for centuries
within their undiscovered tombs
Roads covered by dust
how Imhotep and Hordjedef ache
their words no longer rectited in whole.

In this time their deeds unknown
their places gone as though never been!

Great Fantasy

MY eyes saw the falling leaf
twirling upon the air
propelled by love

MY heart fell with leaf
upon tender moist grounds
unrealized beauty

I wept for nature’s beauty
how astounding is she!
weeping along with lonely me

MY mind became separated by love
two pieces:  one for heart |
one for passion_______

So together we ran away into
the forest of greens

There, a great fantasy!

We lived.

So Sorry I Never Knew Love

In whispers soft as morning dew’s caress,
I plead, my dear, for love’s true tenderness.
When sorrow grips my heart in deep distress,
And dawn reveals a world in bleak duress,

What gentle act, what word, might draw your eye?
What fervent plea could win your sweet reply?
Yet when we part, and sorrow makes us sigh,
‘Tis sorrow’s weight that bids the light goodbye.

It pains me so, this ache within my breast,
As we in sorrow’s shadow find no rest.
With heavy heart, we mourn what love’s confessed,
And words, like dreams, slip through our grasp, unguessed.

It grieves me so, beneath the silent moon,
Why must our wounds persist, our love marooned?
Oh, sorrow’s touch, that dims love’s bright lagoon,
Must we, in darkness, find love’s sweet commune?

What act, what plea, might stir your heart to mine?
Oh-oh-oh,
How can I bridge this chasm, love, divine?
When tempests rage and stars refuse to shine,
What steps must I take, my love, to enshrine?

What must I do to earn your love’s embrace?
Oh-oh-oh,
What must I do to see love’s radiant face?
When thunder roars and lightning scars the space,
Guide me, my love, to find our sacred place.

The Trait of Indecisiveness

Silence is not lack of life.
As noise is not lack of calmness.

Life is more than we have experienced
but when we awaken we realize
we are not truly living.

We should embrace choices
and make that one that fits us.

i encourage you to reflect on your life,
your choices, and the importance of
embracing decision-making as a vital
aspect of living authentically.

What are the consequences?

That you are living a true Life.

WHISPERS OF WINGS

If the butterfly alights upon a bloom,
expecting nectar’s sweet perfume,
but finds barren petals, does it sigh?
Yet it flutters on, beneath the azure sky.

And if a wave, born of the sea’s embrace,
swells mighty, yet succumbs to grace,
fading ere it meets the waiting shore,
it whispers secrets, lost forevermore.

But what of humans, seekers of love’s gleam,
who chase elusive dreams in moonlit stream?
For some, it remains a distant star,
for others, fleeting as shadows are.

Unlike the rooted tree, the graceful sprite,
or the surging wave, ephemeral in its might,
the human heart, a mystery, beats strong,
its resilience echoed in life’s song.

I say, it moves by the rhythm of its heart,
a symphony of hope, a work of art,
unfurling petals in the morning dew,
undaunted by what life may construe.

So let us marvel at nature’s grand design,
wherein each creature, be it yours or mine,
finds strength within, to rise and soar,
and dance with joy, forevermore.

IN SHADOWS DEEP

In shadows deep, the requiem unfurls,
Two lovers meet where sorrow whirls.

Their whispers blend with echoes’ toll,
In quiet lament, their hearts console.

He: “Each note, my love, a plea so clear,
For souls departed, we shed a tear.”

She: “In sorrow’s embrace, we find our plight,
But together, we’ll conquer the night.”

He: “With each verse sung, a longing sigh,
For souls adrift, we bid goodbye.”

She: “Yet in this darkness, love, we see,
A glimmer of hope, for you and me.”

He: “The requiem paints our love’s embrace,
In melodies of sorrow, we find grace.”

She: “So let us dance amidst the woe,
Our love, the requiem’s brightest glow.”

He: “In this requiem, our hearts entwine,
Through life’s trials, your hand in mine.”

She: “Together we’ll face what sorrows reap,
In this requiem of love, our souls shall sleep.”

The Sweet Hand

Upon the silent deck I stood,
No breeze to stir the air.
Beneath the heavens’ mirrored hood,
A restless soul laid bare.

I shut my eyes and whispered low,
To conjure gentle breath,
To fill my sails and bid them grow,
Across the sea’s wide breadth.

Soft whispers swirled, the glassy sea,
In waking dreams, I lay.
A lover’s voice, it called to me,
“Roll over,” did it say.

The name, a breeze within my ear,
Strange, yet clear as day.
“Mistral,” it spoke, drawing near,
In its wild, untamed way.

Though oft I held the helm with might,
I yielded to its charm.
It spun me ’round in endless night,
With naught but its sweet harm.

To mountains high, it promised flight,
Where beauty knows no end.
“Mistral,” it sang, a siren’s light,
My steadfast course to bend.

Through endless watches, I await,
That breeze to set me free.
To whisk me back, ere it’s too late,
To where my heart finds glee.

And on the waves, I breathe your name,
Across the empty span.
You’ve made of me a dreamer, tame,
In Mistral’s wild, sweet hand.
