The Tiger Who Grew Old

Once I thought you a tiger,
Now a kitten, frail and small,
Once so fierce, your roar resounding,
Now a whisper, faint and pall.

Your eyes, once ablaze with fire,
Now dimmed by time’s relentless march,
Once you prowled with graceful stride,
Now you stumble in the dark.

Gone the days of wild defiance,
Now surrender to the night,
Once a ruler of the jungle,
Now a shadow, lost in flight.

Yet in your gentle purring,
Lies the echo of your past,
Once a king, now humbled servant,
Memories fading, fading fast.

Once I thought you a tiger,
Now a kitten, frail and thin,
Once so fierce, but now I see,
You were always gentle within.

So Sorry I Never Knew Love

In whispers soft as morning dew’s caress,
I plead, my dear, for love’s true tenderness.
When sorrow grips my heart in deep distress,
And dawn reveals a world in bleak duress,

What gentle act, what word, might draw your eye?
What fervent plea could win your sweet reply?
Yet when we part, and sorrow makes us sigh,
‘Tis sorrow’s weight that bids the light goodbye.

It pains me so, this ache within my breast,
As we in sorrow’s shadow find no rest.
With heavy heart, we mourn what love’s confessed,
And words, like dreams, slip through our grasp, unguessed.

It grieves me so, beneath the silent moon,
Why must our wounds persist, our love marooned?
Oh, sorrow’s touch, that dims love’s bright lagoon,
Must we, in darkness, find love’s sweet commune?

What act, what plea, might stir your heart to mine?
Oh-oh-oh,
How can I bridge this chasm, love, divine?
When tempests rage and stars refuse to shine,
What steps must I take, my love, to enshrine?

What must I do to earn your love’s embrace?
Oh-oh-oh,
What must I do to see love’s radiant face?
When thunder roars and lightning scars the space,
Guide me, my love, to find our sacred place.

WISDOM OF A HEART

there it once was
dreams with wings
once there was love
with joy then tears
eventually broken hearts

My wisdom whispered:

“life is beautifuL
with joy and pain
the aches of love
and despair”

So dance with the stars
and weep with the rain
for life’s sweet melody
plays both pleasure and pain

let your heart be a canvas
painted with hues of emotion
each stroke a memory
in life’s grand ocean

Embrace the chaos
in life’s swirling sea
for within the turbulence
lies profound beauty

— life.

LOVER’S ODE

Beautiful Heart! Keeping love safe
Crowned by small flowers and sweet berries,
your mouth, a precious oh sphere, kisses.

How thin blades of grass sway with you,
how pink your cheeks become hollow
Your precious spheres are gleaming.

How your chest is like a lyre,
ribs become orchestra upon each beat
of your heavy heart as double sex sleeps.
each leg is a pillar of fantastic thigh
and that tongue.

Long-lived!

WHEN YOU FEEL PAIN (We Will Conquer All)

(Verse 1)

In a town where the sun always shines,
We danced through the streets, hand in hand, feeling fine.
With your laughter like music, and your eyes so bright,
Every moment with you feels just right.

(Chorus)

Oh, won’t you stay a little longer?
In this world of ours, nothing could be wrong.
With you by my side, I feel so strong,
In this endless love song.

(Verse 2)

Underneath the stars, we’ll make our vow,
To love each other forever, starting now.
Through the highs and lows, we’ll always stand tall,
Together we’ll conquer it all.

(Chorus)

Oh, won’t you stay a little longer?
In this world of ours, nothing could be wrong.
With you by my side, I feel so strong,
In this endless love song.

(Bridge)

Through the trials and the tears, we’ll find our way,
With your love as my guiding light, come what may.
Hand in hand, we’ll face whatever comes along,
In this endless love song.

(Chorus)

Oh, won’t you stay a little longer?
In this world of ours, nothing could be wrong.
With you by my side, I feel so strong,
In this endless love song.

(Outro)

In this endless love song,
Our hearts beat as one.
In this endless love song,
Our journey has just begun.

GODDNESS OF WISDOM AND WARFARE

In the twilight of the mind, where shadows roam,
Minerva’s whisper guides, in ancient tome.
With wisdom’s torch, she lights the way,
Through labyrinthine paths, where dreams hold sway.

Minerva, guardian of the soul,
In your wisdom, we find our goal.
With your grace, we rise above,
In the realms of knowledge, we seek and love.

In the quiet of the night, beneath the stars,
Minerva’s essence, beyond the bars.
She weaves the threads of thought and art,
In the tapestry of the human heart.

Minerva, keeper of the flame,
In your presence, we find our name.
With your guidance, we chart our course,
In the boundless sea of intellect’s force.

In the depths of silence, where truth resides,
Minerva’s gaze, forever abides.
With every question, she whispers the key,
Unlocking the mysteries, setting minds free.

Minerva, mistress of the mind,
In your presence, we seek to find.
With your grace, we stand tall and strong,
In the pursuit of knowledge, we all belong.

So let us raise our voices high,
To Minerva’s wisdom, we testify.
In every thought, in every endeavor,
Minerva’s light shines on forever.

NOTE:

[Minerva is a figure from Roman mythology, equivalent to the Greek goddess Athena. She is typically associated with wisdom, strategic warfare, crafts, and the arts. Minerva is often depicted with attributes such as an owl, symbolizing wisdom, and wearing armor, symbolizing her role in warfare. In Roman mythology, she is one of the twelve Olympian gods and goddesses and is considered one of the most important deities in the Roman pantheon.]

I wrote this poem to be a magnificent homage to the illustrious Minerva, encapsulating her essence as the goddess of wisdom and warfare with eloquence and reverence. The imagery woven throughout the verses evokes a sense of awe and admiration for Minerva’s guidance and influence over the human intellect and spirit.

I may say, I skillfully portray Minerva as a beacon of light in the darkness of uncertainty, guiding seekers of knowledge through the intricate paths of thought and discovery. The use of metaphorical language, such as “wisdom’s torch” and “keeper of the flame,” effectively conveys the transcendent nature of Minerva’s wisdom and its transformative power.

Furthermore, the poem beautifully captures the duality of Minerva’s domain, balancing the intellectual pursuit of truth with the valor required in times of conflict. The repetition of phrases like “In your presence, we find our goal” and “With your grace, we rise above” adds a sense of solemnity and reverence to the verses, emphasizing the profound impact of Minerva’s presence on humanity’s quest for enlightenment and self-discovery.

Overall, this poem stands as a testament to Minerva’s enduring legacy as a symbol of wisdom, strength, and inspiration. Its lyrical beauty and profound insight make it a worthy tribute to the goddess of wisdom and warfare, deserving of recognition as a masterpiece of poetic expression.

MY LOVE, I BURN LOSING YOU

In realms of quiet slumber, love’s tale unfolds,
A whispered verse in shadows, untold.
With quill in hand, I paint the skies above,
In words of longing for the one I love.

In chambers hushed, where grief’s heavy cloak lies,
A heart entwined in sorrow, softly sighs.
For in the depth of night, where dreams do roam,
I find the echo of your voice, my home.

A soul once tethered, now adrift in time,
In mem’ry’s grasp, your essence, so sublime.
Through fields of memory, we stroll hand in hand,
In whispers of the heart, we understand.

Oh, how the stars weep in their silent gaze,
As earth and sky merge in love’s tender phase.
Yet in the stillness of the fading light,
I feel your presence, ever shining bright.

Though death’s embrace may steal you from my sight,
In realms unseen, our love takes flight.
For in the whispers of the wind’s soft song,
I find your spirit, ever strong.

So let the tears of longing gently flow,
For in this love, eternal, we shall know.
Though parted by the veil of mortal fears,
In love’s embrace, we shall transcend the years.

Do not be afraid
of GREATNESS.

I WAS ONCE HUMAN AND REMEMBER LOVE

I, the progeny of reticence,
Bearer of a silence deemed base,
I am the heir to naught in particular,
Yet, I am kin to all.

Hush thy lips,
How dare thee claim
My path amiss?
For I am but human,
Yearning for love,
As does every soul.

I, the descendant of bashfulness,
Inheritor of an undefined destiny,
I am the son and heir
To a shy demeanor, deemed criminal.

Silence thy tongue,
How dare thee opine
My ways askew?
For I am human,
In need of affection,
As are all beings.

There exists a gathering,
Would thou care to attend?
Perhaps, there, true love awaits thee.
So thou venture forth alone,
And depart alone,
And return home to weep,
And wish for the end.

When thou declare, “It shall come to pass,”
Pray, when precisely doth thy meaning unfold?
For I have tarried far too long,
And my hope hath waned.

Cease thy words,
How dare thee insist
My approach flawed?
For I am human,
In pursuit of love’s embrace,
Just like all others.

love, only love

In the hush of morn’s embrace I tread,
Where love and grace, a cosmic thread,
I stroll midst fields of earthly lore,
A shepherd’s heart, a sacred core.

Each soul I see, a cosmic spark,
Eternal echoes in the dark,
In joys and sorrows, love’s refrain,
I find a strand that won’t wane.

On rolling hills, in meadows wide,
A dance divine, a universe to guide,
Lilies bloom, and sparrows trill,
In every heartbeat, a cosmic thrill.

Forgiveness, like a gentle shower,
Washes away sin’s gripping power,
A river flowing, deep and free,
Through every heart, my grace, you see.

In humble homes and bustling streets,
My presence lingers, love repeats,
Acts of kindness, pure and true,
The path that leads to skies of blue.

The broken, lost, and weary soul,
I hold them close, make them whole,
Mending wounds with tender care,
A Savior’s love, beyond compare.

Let your light shine, a radiant beam,
In the grand design, a vibrant dream,
The tapestry of grace unfold,
My love in every story told.

Embrace the truth, the way, the life,
Banish hatred, anger, strife,
In every step, in every voice,
Hear my whisper, the soul’s rejoice.

In the pages of this verse divine,
A timeless message, a sacred sign,
Love one another, as I love you,
In this eternal, boundless view.
