And in this morning ice baked sky
that I be drawn to the glass-cold window
was a pleasant — albeit utter surprise
To see — I did! Across the way
beyond the oak between the frost
and misty cloak the Monarch
who fluttered by!
The grand vision crystal snow
drifting flakes against noble color
such a butterfly!

love curved within a flame
ember dancing heart
exquisitely soft
and words?
From a northern wind
into a castle-flake
of burning ice
softly fell upon our
pressed lips
and winter that summer
always with you!

And when did you forget
living is for those
that trust feelings
and shed tears (or two)
the fields are dry
and crows cry
scarcely, be that heart
a husk bleached-bone
one never owned!
it is the end of winter
and I fear, your Spring
more than late in coming
my heart dropped there
within the whiteSnow
of numbing deathIce

And my soul sings, “this winter,
my Lord, is too long
bring back the summer and,
where cheerful hearts dance
within fielded flowers
of daisy-romance,” so I too
long and sing my song.
To bid a lasting farewell
to ice and crystal-fallen
art, I wish today with
all my heart!
