A HUNDRED POEMS – LXXX

I did it! I stole the light!

That child I am — so [lay] I did for me
and myself cried /numeric Queen:
did you feel the river? I fed it happy tears
and my child-me ran we did! Upon the fields
of our-my dreams and life smelled
like laundry clothed wind-swept dried souls
hopes lopped hypnotized butterflies
_______but i would have never walked upon
the deep dark rivers_____unless in this morning
you held my cold hands: someone saved my life
: i lay low and that child i am – so laid my
head inside (roped and tied) in space-time sweet
freedom butterflies \\\flew away////

into the here and what is now?

ORAGAMIC LOVE

LOVE lee one:  do not come around here but Always the first time
giving up & waiting (between fern leaf’ing hug)s’ing between the
angle of life and living windows — thy wholly imaginary house
of inviolate darkness_____

x’pecting me except perhaps long
dim hours of sleep | a swarm of interpretations like rocking chairs
and hearing the news we’re all diseased.

Marvelously never knowing idleness brings tears of phosphorus light
into these animal-like gestures.  Three puppies in the Kansas small
town drug store window: like the woman i found in a shop window
in the rue Notre-Dame-de-Lorette.

Her tights were rolled in flour ready for the baking of a brick oven-lovely
heart.

Deep divers spelunking pleasures in all wonderous unknowns are the moments of
my youth — to be born in Sorrow, like Sorrow (true) then growing a stem outside
to see truth — GENEROUS SPIRIT APPEARS!

GELATO DESERT SANDS

AND if you go — love goes away? No, it’s understood.
My love stays as freedom is a breakfast food
as if love can live with right or wrong (undestood)
or rolly-pollies are from frightful mountains made—
long enough just for you and me.

As though pain can pay the rent
regardless of genius please the talentgang comes
to collect the fallen minds and hearts upon
the sidewalks of understanding. Everywhere.

So as it is; my whole life: as my coalwood eyes
burn wint-air oh waiting (my love) for spring ?(y)(w)ou(w)
un-air-stan?me
crazy
me like

evry-ting
we can do it for just Me and You. So bring it (with love)
for a landing — without misunderstanding — as there is no
end what we can do together without end.

see shebert lips of babies and their beating exploding Love-hearts
: with a little luck we can help it out.

HOW

With heavy BREATHING as (faithfully) her lownecked
throat — something in how her 19th century dress little
topples and expands. Emily Dickinson?

One small foot squared /mired in silk\ wrinkling lost
asking me: how we are here now \ i slowly within
sun-drenched ponderous arms bedecked /time travels —
whose white thick wrist deliver prompoty
to a deep lap of enormous mindless HEART.

How i never believe i now but always in “how”
and how she tells me i need no other lover :
i won’t leave her now/ how i believe her now \
asking me how i believe in her love — i say
“i don’t know oh i don’t know” how?

something in the way she knows. And all i have
to do is think of her — it’s what she shows
me. I believe in “how.”

What I believe in how.

NON DORMIRE STANOTTE

LOST chances within deepest dreams
as then as now no sleep oh no sleep
i too, o princess within sad sleep
we peak into the darkest skies of night
and see trembling stars of love and hope
but though within my soul is all beauty!

No one knows the mystery inside my closed
mouth in me — that no one knows my name
i pray they know this love
forever as when light shines
oh, vanish night!
fire sets upon stars
fire sets upon stars
love shall win!
love always
love shall win!
within the expansive heart of lovers!

A HUNDRED POEMS – LXXIX

OH! Such fair weather and what storm-burst hearts!
When caressing heat-touch’d brilliant morning’s sun each light drench-steep’d
warring showers within the beautiful sorrows!

On a blue sky mourning my bruised heart singing
songs-blue jay melodies in meadows kissing me.

To gather the wood as we build a new nest
for our eggs and young birds.
Sweet arranged new sun and sonnet new form day.
All for love and hearts.

WE AWAKE AND SLEEP AND GROW

WHEN I AWAKE i find all my dreams were awake
she sleeps and my days are mysterious
And within my mirror i cry for no one

She awakes and dreams of days of love
and within her eyes there’s nothing
crying for no one — she says home

You go out and work for food.

The day breaks into evening and when
you come home the tears are for no one.
She cries and you weep silently.

We wake up and we make up.

Finding Love that grows stronger
as we realize we love each other
and need each other to grow in life.

MOWING LIES

We must meet in a toast you gave to me that other morning in the wood where the boughs of the woodlot are ragged and snagged with ice.

When you were gone I filled a glass with water and put the sunflower seeds in it and made this toast to you.

And then I wiped the water off of my cheek and put the sunflower seeds in a pile on the counter, and put the water in the sink.

When you came back that afternoon I told you that you should stick your fist out of the car window to prove that you were alive.

I wondered if you heard.

We must mow a grass lot of lies through, we will be mowing that grass lot a grass lot, lying.

It will be grass, lying on a hay, who at the base of that hay, dead in all her glory of flying away.

There will be broken pictures left where they fall, so many broken pictures that they fall to one side and miss the pictures they meet and forget about those they lose.

And then we will be mowing that grass lot a grass lot, lying.

BLACK AIR

JOY or misery …
contain the storm that sets
within your eyes
Lights at night upon bridges
or a bed of nails at night
___/feel that torn twist in
your side\ and the beat of
furious wings in black air.
AND nightingale bird sings
whilst i dream i c o uld sing
but n’ver are the joys of its
Voice.

Until once a dream came with
a song like a this bird with
a song.

under wings
beneath the skies of my eyes.

9 O’CLOCK DESERT

Down went the bare-assed Sun
UP came the silver cock Moon
devouring light and eating
the twilight desert of that
insatiable monster that is
Between her thighs.
