A SLOW LOVE-DEATH

So lady my gem
if i should say
what heavenly hymn
would your angel
unfurl her wings
a stimulation
God’s sensation
not too worry
He built it in
and I would take
that perfect bliss
lips need lips
and i have some
Fingers searching
there I find you
between those tears
and your eyes
I am not just love
but Cupid’s son
and I know love
it’s my burning fire
and my testimony
Love is the greatest
that greatest Truth

A HUNDRED POEMS – 044

Stay, do not leave;  please, discover me
I am hidden, shadow skin,
Inviolable soul am I
Steadfast!

Those, who stab and bite my thoughts
it is fear, a half-awakened spirit;
kindness, compassion — accused weakness
young souls be children
a sign of misunderstanding
If not for the stars my knees would bleed
their fire support my weight

Love who born me — my mother, kiss me!
a voice I need and her hugs too — please
tonight I incite the prayer

Come!  Come!
Your  child  is  hungry – less
the spirits feed upon that flesh
the world should glimpse a moment

That dreams are true and life a wooden stage
Her wings iridescent blue!

BRUTE HUMORS LOVE

What grows —
Love or
        brute
animal behavior
delivers strength
but love —
a future of peace
one a feathered peacock
the other Angelic wings

CHATTERBOX

LOVE
is that chatterbox
a birdsong in morning
and softly whispers
incessantly at night

WHAT’S INSIDE

Image

LITTLE child come inside
the cold will freeze you
and your soul will turn
to that ice that burns

but mama what’s inside
is worse than the cold
what’s inside will kill
my tender little soul

so i walk the sidewalks
and my tears melt ice
and my soul a little boy

loneliness is a pain
that follows sorrow
and i pray for tomorrows

let burn my swollen tears
inside a wintry life
and what i see i cry
and what sounds — kill me

oh i am just a boy
but my soul so ancient
and the wrinkles smile
they say oh lonely one

time alone is good
it heals the heart
and you are never alone
your angel walks with you

FIREFLY LIGHT

a light I held within my hands
no more than a firefly lit
but it burned so brightly
and lit two souls afire
that light grew o’er time
and replaced my sun
and each night it lay
next to the lonely moon
I slept beneath your light
that which we shared
and in mornings awoke
and basked in that fire
fresh mountain air stir
a mixture running brooks
now your firefly has flown
but I still have the moon
and each midnight dreams
of that fire we once shared
my love I keep the fire
and one day my firefly too
shall fly away toward Heaven
and I bring our fire with me

A HUNDRED POEMS – XXXV

fire dance that tipsy –
prance
and heat adore
that wick of lore
the human bre — athe
           what you burn
one to live
    as one to live
and if my sign be air

would you consume
     =====>       all me
that to dance
           upon your wick
should i be — hot as you?

this i wish to be — not flesh

A HUNDRED POEMS – XXXII

forgive me      my madness
eccentricities
my faults
my tenderness
a pain
a thorn inside my brain
and skin so human
it hurts
my eyes of marble
so hard
intense sight beyond light
and that thrump
within
a vessel with cargo
holds
lifetimes of love and sorrow
none of which my soul
measures
a life on hold
save this spot

A HUNDRED POEMS – XXXI

Image

There within that meadow
beneath that weepy willow
came to me, my love —
upon golden wings
and gossamer hair

what separation held
dissolved unto bliss
my heart gently held
within angelic mist

There within that meadow
beneath that weepy willow
saw a rebirth of my soul
and fear fled, sorrow too
and weepy willow cried

A HUNDRED POEMS – XXVIIII

devastation —
utter beauty
that, what you do
unknowingly, do to me
butterfly lash
deep pools
eyes of jewels
stare my soul
which you do
what fragment, time
the world vanish
when my soul
so near to you
love, my love
devastating love
