but that heart still beats!

and I wish my mind
were a heart — thoughts
like blood coursing
through my life

A HUNDRED POEMS – 92 – SOLAR ASSAULT

THE day’s assault

Delightfully skip-grow
as the sun dip below
the lost chances
of another beautiful day
Dusk, tell me lies
And so,
the truth of love
