this is my last poem for many years. focusing on my true love — painting.
PLEASE LEAVE IT WITHIN THE THICK GREEN FOREST
while silent i ate my thoughts
sitting nowhere really
just me and my throat
i remember when i could speak
i ate thoughts
tell her to meet me by the deep
forest green
/where soft souls sleep and dream
\IF time were a river as some think
she’d be over the falls of all i love
::they find deep forest green fine::
and now again my sweet ringing soul
once against hard walls called Life
so remember me if i seem so far away
i ventured beyond briar.
