A HUNDRED POEMS – XXVI

And would the sun shine more coldly
if the light within my soul dimmed?
and would the song of birds mute
if my voice became a silence?
within you would feeling die?
and if the eyes from which I see
would shut close forevermore
would life be a darkness for you?
these things I do not know dear
because no longer do humans write
ink upon paper that be sent forth
so my well of ink is dry and thoughts
If mere words some more poetic be
that could stir the heart of you
then love me more than what words say
and let Heaven count the numbers
I’ve a field to walk and dig the ground
and the sun is fair today dear love
today the grace of nature be with me

A HUNDRED POEMS – XXIII

Beside of me

and into me
Poseidon’s spear thrust
heaving chalice breasts
and white cap foamy waves
what sin

no shame    of me
nature does what she need

ME AND YOU

How do we meet on the heat-road of this dead-end girl
where the moon shies away and the owl scatters
my boots have a tar-goo so hard to clean this night
what could you say to me to make it all the worth?

Sir, I saw a sinner who stared into my eyes – nights ago
and he woke up the love and passion this night
I have nothing more to give or say tonight to you tonight
the ocean sings to you in a shell
and the bird tweets a tune to your heart
and a rising world of color brings you love

Yes, that is it…
I wish to forsake the bloodshed
and all the grief

I say that love – love is a wave
it’s a seventh wave of love
and drown in that wave ripple

But hate and grief pinches me
and my heart and body sir
is a fragile fabric in life

Lovely soul come to me then
I will remedy the error of life
in a bite you will be saved

and love and tooth saves
and hatred abated for time
and space and philosophy

We share the same Father
and believe me when I say
I hope He Loves me and you

PASSION SPEAK SHY

I refuse to believe that love is fleeting
only a shadow made of lust of night
My spirit has built a castle for love
and her rooms are many to fill
each a day in my life for her
and when she comes I have room
and a land so green and grand
full of brooks and trees and life
and flower beds and a vast sky
where she is I do not know yet
but I await her and heavenly love
she will bring and I shall give back —
an ounce of her is a pound of me
and my hand is a river against
her breast that she shall feel
the life of golden years through time
a water to rock and pebbles
and pebbles to grains and sand
and stream shall carry us beyond
to the other life above heaven …

YEA-YEAH

WAY down below the belly
of the gods and souls too
i could scream of pain
but the love is more —

and the clouds bring rain
and the sun – she screams
a light of brightness
i could live forever…

praise god and Her roles
and the people who cling
love is binding and bring

a piece of soul to my life
and this life is about more
and tears and smiles – joy

i was here before your words
and even song and praise of me
and i accept your adulation’s

but my desire is for you to live
so live yea-yeah live forward
the past is a thing – but future

future is a promise that bring
a piece of your past and how…
and now is what you eat now

time and space splits the mind
and the body is a soul-cage
and the canary sings many songs

A HUNDRED POEMS – XVI

The morning eye do I love
it see a new day untouched
a breath of sight so grand
a peace-inner speak-eye

tussle the bed sheet, a flag
that Nation for the sleeper
my Anthem made of murmur
whisper-speak my tender love

and each morning i awaken
do i see my Nation next to me
that Anthem her name and lips
and her voice angelic bliss

THE SLEEP

i went to sleep in a bed of roses
in 1563 whilst William Byrd appointed
organist at the Cathedral —
and awoke in a dream —
in 1963 did i and took a stroll
in infant dreams, amazed was i
those colors brilliant and cold i wept
and wish i did to escape
back into that forest
where i slept — in that bed
of fragrant roses which I slept
and now a soul captured — me
a sentence i endure until that end

A HUNDRED POEMS XIII

What gather beneath thou feet
a thorn by lost tender rose
or a shadow that wish sleep

dear love star-shine more
that path you light for me
a journey from death to life

misadventure by heart and love
what true-life doth not tend
fracture feeling we expend

love-my-loving heart sooth
a gracious wind sweep us hath
over-above and-up unto heaven

A HUNDRED POEMS XII

A bent leg

one in the puddle

that grey sky
but not my heart
a red rose
that fragrance – hope

and these words
falling sprites

upon your tender soul —
what voice do you heart,

heaven or mortal man before
that prostate himself unto you

spirit or flesh or both
what take you — love and life?
or a memory upon your trails

that message I await upon lips

Amaryllis Loves You

And I clipped your hip
just a soft touch too
that swept through you
a frozen moment – burst
sunshine sweet Amaryllis
wept the world and me too
that graceful love be you
