COSMIC MEAL

The mystical kiss
effervescent wings
of my life being skin

a horror i live this life
between life and paradise
what mouth full of teeth

can that fang-gap sing
the immimence of Creator
IT’s glory beyond tought

I cry – die – reborn
below my embers red truth
above vortex heat swirl

embrace the ugly life too!
beneath is such glory be
rejection is a love born

reality and all the universe
has only a single point
where love reside — here

Earth — paradise brings
the food that Creator need
That feast for a few be!

TRIDENT’S GRASP

THAT other day
when i died
that day when i tried

the water too deep
i tried to swim
just for air to breath

that day the carnival
come to life’s town
clowns and fair colors

my family waited for me
but the river did drown
my hopes and dreams in life

but i struggled against wave
Trident’s grasp of my lungs
and alas gave him my hope

Terra firma that i was born
but now a watery grave
but my soul walks the land

SPIRITUAL LESSON

TODAY I met a death
it rode down the road
and landed at my feet
the police wrote chalk
around your spirit today
and heaven spoke to me,

and it said:

“no tears from you sir
what was written
has been served”

But my soul loves life
and what beast could do
what was served today

and my feet are washed
within the blood of life
and my feet are red today

So I walked for miles
and I watched the skies
wanting spiritual insight

Nothing but breeze and bee
a silence screamed too
my shadow followed that breeze

So, God I shout in disbelief
what is the meaning of this
what lesson do you have for me!

And love said:

“what we pray for is not life
and destruction is not a hate
nor death a shape of distrust
but what we desire is love
and the flesh a dressing for life

what you saw was not an ending
yes, for flesh, but not for soul
a cyclic reset was set that day
not to destroy but save that soul

My soul shook to hear this reply
but I know truth and it spoke today
and now my eyes and heart awake
still I wonder about his family”

who are we to wonder life and death
when we are a mixture of both
say the blind leading blind souls

A HUNDRED POEMS – XVII

the heart expand
to the left
and to the right

it demand

a space to grow
lilies of my field
sprout and bloom

in the sunlight
that feed you
blossom and color

in the dark night
musical words
nurture from poems

thus i am human
skin from dust
below your stem

that is where —

one-day i shall go

soon one day

and my soul
be your bed

A HUNDRED POEMS – XVI

Image

The morning eye do I love
it see a new day untouched
a breath of sight so grand
a peace-inner speak-eye

tussle the bed sheet, a flag
that Nation for the sleeper
my Anthem made of murmur
whisper-speak my tender love

and each morning i awaken
do i see my Nation next to me
that Anthem her name and lips
and her voice angelic bliss

A HUNDRED POEMS XV

sweet faith come to me
that darkness seeps
and my weather vane

                            so empty
a petal- less flower weep

stare i do above my fear
and see a golden glow
it rises kissing horizon

that is my faith
            my dear

that shower my vane
until it full
of the power of light

to feed my wither
soul

LIFE AND LINE

Well now — I’m just a man
but you could do worst
my dear I’m a man willing
to make more of my life

and i hear a calling
that voice of the dead
but my fist punches it
so my life is too tough

and the flesh is pure
but my life to day
it keeps me going
moma said i’m a good boy

and i knew when i took
that first walk it was easy
and after those a hell to walk
but my fire is hotter than hell

and I walk that life and line
a step of fire each time
and i burn each mile walked
but life is a bitch now girl

and i walk and walk life
and dragging life is my toll
but i love to feel the fire
and life is a love i kiss

I walk that life and line

THE SLEEP

i went to sleep in a bed of roses
in 1563 whilst William Byrd appointed
organist at the Cathedral —
and awoke in a dream —
in 1963 did i and took a stroll
in infant dreams, amazed was i
those colors brilliant and cold i wept
and wish i did to escape
back into that forest
where i slept — in that bed
of fragrant roses which I slept
and now a soul captured — me
a sentence i endure until that end

A HUNDRED POEMS XIIII

(TO MY DAUGHTER)

1.

What spirit imbue that flesh

a love as thy mother in her best

twinkle eye too, heart of gold

that mystic flair balance dew

upon the blade of green-soothe

And touch thy father’s heart, too!

2.

And thou tend to good deeds

that love and life bequeath all

a fire and tender twinkle too

thy father so joyous tears sing

and moon and bird-song along

shall forever follow you!

3.

Her lovely grace in turmoil say

and his heart too shall always beat

for you the world and all its gifts

not of gold or position in world

but that tender spot angels dance

that room which first I met you

A HUNDRED POEMS XIII

Image
(c) 2012 EP Robles

What gather beneath thou feet
a thorn by lost tender rose
or a shadow that wish sleep

dear love star-shine more
that path you light for me
a journey from death to life

misadventure by heart and love
what true-life doth not tend
fracture feeling we expend

love-my-loving heart sooth
a gracious wind sweep us hath
over-above and-up unto heaven
