A HUNDRED POEMS – VI

THAT dangle
broke a gentle tangle
between enamel a toothless
piece not in mouth — surely
shards that spread glinting
strewn across my life-garden
hoe come dig into me
spread my thoughts Enter
gently and
carefully revive
my soul
a kiss upon tulips without thorn

ODE FOR TRUTH

Now to rear
my ugly head
and all the thoughts
contained therein
so many fantasies
all beyond reality
I have known alien,
incubus, and life
spoken for the dead
and those on the way
mysteries revealed
and some contained
I have seen all:
murder, rape, death,
incest, and most of all
disregard for true love
I have no expectation
from those that read
only that they hear
and if they remain
mute, so be it…
let life sort it out
if not, then death
surely will

SHALL NOT SPEAK

I shall not speak of God
the minions are feverish
and locked and stocked
nor shall I refer a politician
money, power, and position
keeps the palm-soul filthy
but I shall sing of that love
so true and pure and blissful
that days to come shall know
here resides a spirit worthy

SOOTHES SOULS

TIME only abides those souls
who try to keep hell below
baby footsteps walk above
and clouds float and taste
a lick of love and passion
no hell or war to imagine
and society will follow
waiting for a voice we say
but our spirits sing today
ocean shells speak the name
it’s easy to hear just try
not a human word but more
it’s love without a name

CELESTIAL POLYGAMY

My heart aches — fossil time
a secret kept close —
beneath breastbone
no macabre dear
easy one this day
but a fact parlayed
in truth today
i am crushed
in realization now
that not one but two women dead
who passed a long ago — past time
that my heart finds deep love
who wishes to know i ask!?
and for what reason compels you
oh! Dickinson and Browning
is polygamy  accepted in heaven?
only cupid knows yet…

LISTEN NOW

NOTHING ever listens
but hearts sing
and smiles glisten
and souls believe
life is a red color
And who am I dear
not a one to fit
in any clothing
and my skin cries
wish to give it back
and i would sing
in a rain without doubt
so easy to say to you
that i believe in you
everyday — not for me
but for the world…
and listen to me now
that i would be alone
if not for the love
and smiles you give me

TIP-TOE

tender
FEELING
squeeze box
love
TRAGIC meaning
glisten
hush lips now
watch
LIFE move
tip-toe
tulips
what life
BEGIN-ends
end-begins

THE TRUE TEST

THE test of life —
not one of salvation
but that nature
allow us to remain
upon her paradise

A HUNDRED POEMS – V

BONE pure and strong
winds feed my wings
a heart tender-string
bleach dreams swim
My life —
it is my own?
then my butler
— death
and dirt so lovingly friend
bury, or wind carry me
to my imaginal realm
between my dreams and stars

THE GRAND SECRET

MY confession to mortals
that I do love death
it has a tender touch
to never hurt beyond
that fire of separation
It only asks a piece
of life’s fire to move
beyond your soul today
That grand secret spilled
we all die day-to-day
and born between moments
