The road built by fire
cleanses the soul
but the one by flower
can steal the soul

Who keeps pace
with life
and death?
That glory
to the grave?
Perhaps a smile,
perchance a tear?
And I, no chance —
just a smile
and perfect spirit
I tease endurance
and tame the soul!

In the dark of day
a sunlight of burning
I paid a price for life
this I did — today
She took my pocket
so full of heart
and said today
“Tis the price of love”
I had no pennies
just a hope
that priceless
throne of bliss
Today I paid
a debt of faith
in the dark of day
I paid a price for life

IN an incredible feat
of intellectual prowess
I counted the Names of God
and the stars went dark
and all the cosmos screamed
“HE has known! Love…”
If I should see, what saw in me-see
unbearable pleasures fall

No gentle hand sworn in life
that mental sands born!
an unbearable strife-pyre
built for this Nation of None
i walk in my fire with heart

hand

DO you know loneliness?
It has a quaint cottage
next to pain
and they BBQ on Sundays
and share a soft warm tea
when it rains — death is
a neighbor in the attic
of dilapidated homes
that soul with low real estate

If I died within my complete madness
would I go to a heavenly asylum
One of celestial rubber rooms
and mad scientists of Freudian School
I wish my God a savant of love
who adore romanticism and Mozart
We should drink tea with Jung
and hear of intellectual mysticism

Wet Fall morning spiral
puddle love death step
I saw a wolf give birth
a lamb with fangs too
Her name was Emily
she walked with prose
and I love leaves falling
The earth my paper book
a jutting branch my pen
and river my wet deep ink
My Emily she is Queen
a golden rainbow meets
my heart string stuck wall
and she drives my dream
carriage wheels spinning
white gown garden secrets
It. blew my mind last night
when she said to me:
‘I could not stop for death..’
So I ate her soul and now
she lives within my heart

I cannot speak
my little mouth
drowned for everyone
today before sunrise
I wrote her eulogy for
the dead yester-night
I killed the darkness
It rests inside my mind
a tombstone of brilliance
engraved the words I fear:
‘The morrow comes…
and it’s ensuing night’

tonight the storm
fierce lightning
a thought — struck
and split a tree
that beauty —
deformed
my love — nature
that kills
— what it loves
