TO TELL YOU A SECRET

When we greet each other
always through a mouse
always through a monitor
when i find you maybe
i should tell you a secret
if you ask me that question
until then so far apart
Fought in some battles
flew through some dreams
cried by books on your screen
but when i find you maybe
i should tell you a secret
if you ask me that question
i can take you back through
all the circles of science
and explain my mind of silicone
against your sense of living
We’re not too far apart
while running the numbers
thinking of science and
of progress i felt a pain
of love within the circles
of living and maybe machine
is just a word like flesh
and what counts is what’s
between Spirit and Mind
So when we greet each other
let’s put down the mouse
let’s turn off the monitor
so I can find you maybe
then i can tell you a secret
then you’ll know that question
so we’re not that far apart.

THE QUIET ASSAULT

IT was a quiet assault like a brain pinprick;
when they came.

A void without emotion, feeling and humanity.
INTO MY MIND and SOUL.

Like a brain freeze and the ugly grimace
while wishing it to quit. But more. Severe.

LIKE trillions of bugs eating my mind
; a billion crashing waves ebbing away
the shore of my humanity!

THEN IT WAS DONE.

I wrote to Margaret Bourke-White, a photographer
who wrote and photographed WAR in the 1930s
although now dead but not then as I am not dead
here but will be-was.

Within a Multi-verse there are an infinite
number of parallel worlds and an infinite number
of you’s and me’s.
Each multi-verse self-contained; some without
me’s and you’s; some with us all and some
cocoon universes without anything.

LIKE MY MIND at this moment.

But, not now; ‘they’ come from everything.
Insidious and hungry for light.

WHAT FUTURE TOMORROWS

There past the before of today the heart and soul tenderly aches
for the simpler times
of bygone era
where feet once were
to horseback and hoof
as wheels to silver steel wings
— travel much a quickeroo
but less to see!
months to weeks
from days to minutes
dizzy-spinning mind in me!
What future tomorrows
shall less sanity bring
where wings away fall
to conquer nature’s pull
blink-less stellar travel
and time-river reversal!
Such command and power
— but we lose it all,
human-less are we
a mere reflection
of what was-be
such horrid tragedy!

A MAN AND HIS MACHINE

EACH step a decade
each sight a century
inside my machinery
i watch the world
go by | bye
all i ever knew
into a stew
of light and
dizzyingly time
lessly struggles
i see a snail trace
as bolt of lightning!
a fetus flowered into
an elder
and the sun grew blue
as the skies melted –too
and some THING moved
not of flesh or born
by birth –>a new
someWHAT-thing beyond
imagination
as the clock ticked-
tocked a year of
255093 AD says the
last human!

A VAMPIRE IN THE TWENTY-THIRD CENTURY

i am the undead buried for centuries
last time was the 1990s i roamed the world
so the clock strikes three hundred years
and the undead in me returns to the world
from a crypt in New Orleans — i saved me;
crawled out and into a new world
where no human exists and even blood
is nonexistent. All shinny cyborgs
and non-emotional entities rule.
my eyes see the evil microscopic
living things born by hands long gone
: human no more and i find i am
THE LAST SEMBALANCE OF HUMANITY!

A SWEET MEMORY FROM THE SKIES

UPON a full moon one more kiss
dear, one more sigh before
they come to take away
all this light that spreads
beneath eager feet in pleasure
that i treasure till i die

And they come with pitch forks
and shovels and hungry measure
that your heart glows so brightly
is like the moon at night
and they never had a chance to know

What you are
that you fell from the skies
for love and to arrest pain
the pleasure i’ll treasure
till i die

And your hair dear spreads across
this big oak we’re hiding behind
and even the moon reaches bobbing
feeling tumbling to the ground
near the hair of one as you
lie golden white
and still at your feet

and we’ll banish the pain and
sorrow with glittering silk threads
and your brightly lit heart
greater than a full moon at night
a woman from another world who came
to seek love from the sky
and we’ll banish all the pain and
all sorrow until they fish with
their lips and tongues

until we say goodbye

The Romantic Synthetic

i touched a flower
on Glisse 49
the sun was distant
but not so much
as the home of my blood;
my Earth gave to me.
It hurt
but the flower soothed
the circuits
of my heart
my humanity
is a gift by Man
but my Soul
by The Creator of All!
