i caught myself
dreaming myself
streaming lines
disjointed fairy tales
a seam i tripped
and pulled it back
and saw my self
dreaming life

THE poor beggar called loneliness
no worse have I see —
tattered clothes and holes for sock
and outstretched arms —
not for money
but for love

I gesticulate a birth poem
bottom third trimester
dilation my wish-so
and born soon for the world
such words pleasing to you
a mother is proud but sore
and weakness a strength
how i wish to born prose
before time consumes
but life begs patience
rhythm breath contraction
pushing primal need aside
a course for life words
cry pain release love
exhausting pleases me
rest kiss hand forehead
our child pure touch
eternal love beyond
poetry born in cradle

Why did you go
brilliant light
in haste you left
a speck of ember
it burns my heart
How long shall it be
like sands ebbed away
are all my hopes
a castle ruined at sea
Lovely bright my life
a taste of Spring
is what river i thirst
just a cup to drink
This i know briefly
then it goes away
ever so quietly
a tide within the sea

i release me — my shackles broken
what wondrous bliss running in the fields
the reeds of flowers cutting my heels
such pleasure to feel the pain of freedom
and honey dew sun on that grand horizon
what golden dreams melt across my heart
the free dove flying sideways in blue-sky
i release me my fears — tear soakened
though i realize this dream is fleeting
i drink it with graceful passion dew
and dreams i swim in gentle streams
i am human but just a guise for today
for i have found the key to life’s lock
and i run in my fields of tomorrow’s life

WHAT we change
changes us
profound ways
inclined
something better
sometimes bitter
and hindsight —
always knows

THAT DREAM —
which the sentient being swims
one of fire beyond mortal being
one in bed the other free to roam
I have seen — walked Hades
felt eternal anguish — frozen pain
until spent and then release
upon awake, no residual fear
I am complete, nothing controls
death, life, pain, and regret
left within the pits of hell

Woman, I gave to thee
not more than what I am, —
a mere taste of eternity
the breath of imperial love
gently i laid before thee
The heart has no eye, yet —
some believe ocular
that what they see is more
but my love is a tiny thing
and great power so granular

And with a shout-sharp word
the chandelier of your heart
shatters — a burst of broken dream
the auctioneer sells your soul
what was once a sphere of tender love
now just tears and broken thole

V
i cannot forget but shall forgive
one the mind, the other the heart
and if forget my warmth should you
i gave to you from my heart
please forget I crossed your path
pain is true and love that more
