FRAGRANT SPRING
PATRIOT
THE presence of my anguish
compels the bloodbath of words
singularly slaying convention
rules for sheep within fences
Bind that tongue if you must
conform if you must for peace
but leave the rest for warriors
We sing the song and keep the fire
Liberty comforts the heart-free
the rest bask in uniformity
blood-eye patriot survive for me
bring home my sense of liberty
Sweet precious families sleep
the peace a burden for the strong
upon our backs deliver we must
the future of a free society

SONG BIRD
SANG the song bird
so solemnly
upon it’s perch
unknowingly in peace
the destruction below
Innocence is blind
decayed reality
below the bridge
she sings to me
melodies of truth
Let’s sing a song
unsheathe the disease
and lay down the sword
the blade is worn
and life is sharp
The bewildered youth
clearly see melee
confusion is the union
Let our future control
and guide us to our fate
We sing the song bird’s
song of truth and light
perched so high above
it touches

THE WALL
Today I faced
a wall in my way
but did not see
a barrier
Instead I saw
steadfast resolve

DEATH BY CHANCE
SOME say death is by chance
a twist of fate
— merely happenstance
And other take the rein
believing death by their own hands
I say death is the magician
A slight of hand — misdirection
— allowing humans to believe
the end is fate or self-fulfilled
But angels see the COLD PACT
forged before time itself
Life is a ledger and always paid
— when balance is due

LET us begin our lives
with a kiss and end it
— sensually
With a passion
that burns the world

YOU sit below a weeping willow
knowing the scale of blues
you sing a song
— so sad to the heart
I’m longing to linger
a bit longer here
So you kiss a flower
and lick the sun
— sunbeam angels
made in the grass so green
You listen to mother nature
she has bees
Buzzing high bright-yellow
— taste the blue
You bring your dreams along
Whatever your dream may be
always let them into your heart
Lower the gate
— flood the River of Life
All’s quiet now and the pain has left
Whatever your dreams are
— let them dream
Cast off the armour
and follow your pleasure

LIFE’S FACTS
A SENSATION greeted
a feeling today
— one could see
the other could judge
Soon they became bored
— if it could ever be so —
and off they went
— to find EGO

BANISH ALL MY SORROW
WHEN the world has stopped
it’s spinning and furious pull
a moment is all I desire
to spend it with you
Each second a precious life
the kisses, such love
— I do!
So kiss me my love
as though there’s no tomorrows
Allow me to love you
— and banish all my sorrow
