A HUNDRED POEMS – 070

that it is — at night’s mawning
through overpast daze
berated spirit leaving —
that suncrest hope on cuts
these days such warnings (tonight)
when belief flees my soul
that love, too, my longing

A HUNDRED POEMS – 069

MY heavy silent voice
the lush lust flesh
a lost paradise
the war that tore
centuries of Nation
my beautiful one
I die(d) many times
and here I stand
firmly attesting love
and await you — love
forEVER through time
I ate my sanity save
my love which keeps me
— my heavy silent voice

THE GREAT EYE

The Great Eye within
your closet never blinks
and the knob hardly
turned by your hand
but your life-clothes
need a change today
and the Great Eye
awaits your opening
the door for a change
it’s stare sees all ‘you’
and there’s nothing
you can do to hide
when you open that door
to the closet of your life

T E X T P E R T — E X P E R T

Textpert expert telling us how it is
a jumbo word manifesto sexpert
I see how a pig could fly
all you have to do is kiss a bug
bullfrogs have all died, oh my!
but the chemical plants
swear on their dead souls
a fish could have two heads
Darwin on steroids drank a coke
and the bomb loves your mother
Tell me a bedtime story
without politics and I’ll die
you are the Textpert expert
thumbing all through the lies
for the world there’s a word
and all the circus clowns have died

HOW TO DIE

I can’t tell you how to live
but I know what dying is like
and can say take each day
and hold it like your child.
kiss it, love it and never let go

THE ANCHOR STONE

When you awaken
do you get up into
the sinking —
inside of you?
it’s three feet below the bed
where you rest your head
at the foot of —
an anchor-stone
I can only ask because I know
the weight of that stone
kept me three feet below —
the resting bed
until one day I arose
up into the sun
when I awaken
that’s where I go

A HUNDRED POEMS – 062

sometimes (now) I dislike
(hate) indecision
many fates //now// spill
horrified goldfish meeting air
myopic eyes live cataract-like
but still &-now I unlike
that Inde-CISION cuts me
through the ghost-bone

A HUNDRED POEMS – 063

FOR one
incredible moment
nothing happened
and I fell in love
with that nothingness

IF I WERE BORN

IF I were a bird and born
with no feathered wings
our skies would give me love
and the gentle rains
should cleanse my eyes
If I were born that beating heart
within my soul I’d find my wings
and my tiny-throat trilled songs
would lift my soul and there I’d fly!

MY LITTLE ONE

my little one!  my little one!
where have you gone?
beneath the little bed —
perchance within
a closet full of brooms?
my little one!  hide and seek
is your favorite game —
but now i see i cannot
ever find the little one!
life has given you the key
to maturity and you now hide
within a fully grown one!
my litle-big, my little-big!
so proud to find you —
all grown — the little one
no longer has to hide
beneath the bed!
