YOUR NATURE

20140217-225831.jpg

This carriage so tosses me my love
and miles I have yet to go
but you are with me on my travels
I see you about as love conjures you —
the supple curve of twin peaks
before gold cascade across your form
and those fields with dancing flowers
twirl they do and dance when we are one
a peaceful brook I crossed and heard
that sweet throat-murmur to me from you
I find you when I see-smell lovely nature
Still a few miles to go before I reach for you
within my sweet sleep

WHEN THE KEEPERS LOOK AWAY

Image
(c) ep robles 2012

All blood and flesh the cage
— a golden gate
cannot you see
that keeps some dreams at bay
— a border close
to pure fantasy
when the Keepers turn away
a dip or two from reality

RIVERS FLOW

Image
(c) ep robles 2010

beyond the lies
and fleshy thorns
a second place
another time
we walked the stones
tripped through time
but village rudes
slain my love
drown by stream

rivers flow by
but never cease
— crimson tides

the tip of hatred
pierced my neck
a chain of pain
the children laughed
and danced the night

oh the wonders of life
never cease to amaze
mysteries of pain

maybe times are slow
but love wins the race
and you were my flower
and i the field of wonders

rivers flow by
but never cease
— crimson tides

women in love — lovers
beauty on beauty is such
candles melt leaving roses

and rivers flow in crimson
and if i ever live to see
your field of wonders

such beauty
i could never match
and rivers flow…

— crimson tides —

SO BECAME

Image
(c) ep robles 2012

so became my friend who offered my life
beneath the shade of elephant eye
the brownest emotion of nature’s side

sahara knew me very well — she feels
baking the skin of back from olive

to black        i love her fields

two nights before the feather fell

the light accord

my fair-weather dear

tonight i run to fetch my meal

quickly-swiftly upon death’s heel

SELF-SIMILAR

Image

my self-similar self
nestled within myself
so similar to someone
who resembles myself
such fecal fractal
maddening crap
prevents me so
I may never learn
where lay my soul

CRY

Image

I CRY —
not for the dead
for they have lived
Not for the living
for they will die
— having lived
I cry for nature
for it must contend
with those that ruin
and plunder its vast
beauty

SUNSET

WHAT slanders the sun
that makes it fall
a settling of debt
paid by all

Her brilliance gone
but save the moon
within seeping cold
at night repent

HER FINAL SPRING

WINTER her final Spring
in bed ridden fashion
such life fiercely battled
Industriousness bought
through pain and tears

Through force of life
and broad strokes of art
travels she made
upon creative youth

And Death spoke, assuredly
but crept in delicate fear
and begged a pardon
— a release of guilt

Her flower withered…
but not from existence
a pollination across hills
to the fields of other-there

TIME ABIDES

TIME abides no one
but speak gently
love surrenders
hearts so true
I give to you
a sliver of time
laced in feeling
it is the divine
a cloth of penance
redeemed in red
softly treading
upon my soul

THE RAREST COLOR

I SAW today
the rarest color
of them all
that which nature
bestows to one
It was not a star
nor human
but a creature
most dapper

‘Twas the peacock’s
neck blue region
only visible upon
a brightly lit day
is the most
heavenly blue!
