Mist a way beyond the line
where my path follows you
Oh wish I may for a life
that fond I dream of you
and days of us below the blue
with stars upon your shoulder
and words you softly whisper
send echoes through my world

IF all the world’s a stage
and we are all the actors
who then the audience?
we all perform
for the mystery of mysteries!
I saw it and there it lay beneath a shroud of commonplace as people dead-walk a tip-toe between light and dark. That beastly ghastly parasite spewing spittle into the eyes and nostrils of decent people infecting spirit and even soul, compelling beauty and love to do the dastardly deeds it needs to live and instill unhatched fear-eggs beneath the skin of humanity. Yes, I saw it, fear itself and it is staring me straight in the eye.

I ate the sun today
in all it’s glory fire
now inside of me
A quarrel ensued
between the two
light and darkness
ancient bitter foes
A deal was struck
a war not waged
if I choose to be
keeper of the two

IN the beginning the word was ‘ah’
and all the stars and worlds were born
and ancient steps of time by law
ensued a caldron of life un scorn
then those with soul and heart became
entwined in union the word be ‘ah’
and soon a gift of child was born
so it was and so it be the power of ah
that even this sound in baby’s breath
da and ma and even God

though only one heart have I
let my own be given to thee
that your heart should keep me
for thou heart tis all I truly need

so queer that fear
can stretch out time
a stitch in mind
the needle pierce
what eternity avoids
we carry for life

AND if you strip away all the words
from all the world’s languages
still there be a way to express fear
and love and hate and pleasure

that idea about beauty
what more can be said
it is within the eye
but so can it be more
the heart flesh mind
it is either there
or not —
indifference or
convulsion
