IF I cried
the world
I do believe
would sigh
no passion -only
indifference
I believe
and I refrain
— delicate mind
wishes do believe
::02-15-2014::
AND here I sit
— shattered
upon a ruinous estate
All the world a glass
and looking through to me
t’was nothing but a shadow
And now more of the lesser
— the church bells singing
a beginning or ending its ringing…
Perchance the dance of life
or requeim for the dead
::01-15-2024::
IN cranial space
— knowing not evil
lurking there…
weakly I crawl
into razor-tears
So often
forgotten
so deathly near
is my fear
Today near death
— but grazed
nothing happened
but life
Tomorrow’s chance:
a touch of death
Cold-nights bring
black void-ignorance
death-kiss teach-us fear
tomorrow happens – for some
the end more near

AMAZING is the sense of time
Happiness quickens it by
Sadness stretches it’s sides
and sometimes
— for unfortunate ones
when a broken soul —
it escapes one’s life
Eternal remorse
as years tick by

I made a meal
for you and me
but my plate
was bare
— save the porcelain
— one for you
The truth
of this matter
as surely you may know
— I cannot eat a meal alone
So I watch your plate
and silver fork
and know where
this scene will go
— as my thought wanders
across the big unknown…
Today I placed
a vase of flowers
upon your burial stone
— in the rain
Mourning is the meal I eat alone

FATHER who art in Heaven
allow my emotions to wither
that I can live a normal mortal-be
the streams of feeling overwhelm
it can be torrential I know you see
my blessing such curse within my skin
a lightening pole for stormy needs
So I pray just to you — if I can
just to be a simple drop of rain
crystal-clear and wet with tears
to fall from heights so great and tall
just me and my fellow tears is all
and at night when no eyes can see
the swollen tears I shed for thee

MY SPIRIT, let us forget this pain
You and I, this night
You may forgive such sorrow she gave,
Together let us forget her sight
Please promise many tomorrows
that my heart and spirit can rejoice
Leaving behind the pain and death
That she forged by saying goodbye
