COLOR THE WORLD

So color the world
in lavender or blue
paint the petals
golden in hue

lashing your brush
to and fro – and below
I’m washed in reds
soaking heart and head

I am your love’s canvas
stretched but smooth
empty and void of hate
color your love — my hue
