WHEN the sky came down // when the wind left and the
oceans drained \ when the righteous sang, “by god.”
WE saw the creatures of life running to and fro
and saw how the machine held our hearts and eyes —
in chains.
When the sky came down.
when the night wept,
when the eyes of all creatures cried:
they hid from a perfect storm.
Everyone ran fron the wars and left the
desloation of Nations — when the purple
color and red became day when love screamed
we cried…for a god that never came.
Now, afterward we live life in the drifting horror
of dust and sand.
From the cruelty that defines
the small mouths of what humans are: let it be known
when the sky came down when the sun went away
and the Earth screamed and those who claimed
in God’s name he’ll save our skin; the light
burned our sight and killed our kin.
When the sky came down/ when the sun went dark\
and the universe wept and the righteous sang
to a dead god — we survived. Again.

I feared a thing untold & unseen
that thing i feared my mind
a thing too!
Split by half in such unknown
i strove to know:
unraveled too which spilled
upon the floor!
Imperfect thoughts rolled
from higher ground to low!
Then reality’s curtain fell;
my needle tired to stitch
the past when love was good
but life ran beyond the needle
and instead stitched time
within my soul

i forgot to keep it

RESPONDS TO ALL THREATS
within THAT part of humanity
that responds to all threats
we tell ourselves: we shall
bury you ; beneath our tears
i scream toward my little boy
run and hide across all
political fences ::we share all
same biology:: regardless of
ideology / if history was
a President there’d be no such
thing as subscribed views |
my sweet butterflies
my royal golden bees
my children are this world
we share such the same
and wishing God too.

WITHIN the empire of my love & heart
within all things: so fly and kiss
all i am — within this empire
of visual senses/within all cities\
upon every blade of everglade
all the light all the fun from sun
i say: we are a people worthy of this
–holding out our hands:
upon the desert below the deep blue
ice above the rarest air i feel people
rising within the cities singing:
‘we are a people rising within the world
: a people worth love and care’
‘there is a people worth more than this
so hear me singing — all the angels and
all the devils around us can you see? there
is a people worth more than this who understands’
i say Life is the first gift
love is the second,
and understanding behind compassion

i was seemingly me: walking down the plank
boards of society: nothing glows brighter than
bitter symphony awakened to the

i hear a shadow walking towards the light
in all amazement i feel tonight is the
deepest of all the darkness
and in all the suffocating intention
i miss the sun but love the moon
its everything i was raised for this night
i was snared when so ruined
begged forgiveness but knew
there’d be no mercy for what
was brewing
One thing is holy
among the ruin
one thing is evil
among the beauty
