WISDOM VISITED

THE visitor denied a knock
upon the weathered oak
— of my door

Startled firstly by the sight
this a visitor standing
— upon my floor

His travels did surely age
such genteel features
— ancient eyes so brilliant

Before great solidity I almost spoke
then instinct took me whole
— hush and listen to the voice

The words — before he left — were wisdom
a gift beyond most priceless treasure
— fair well my friend…

and hope we meet again

MOTHER SKIN

YES I confess it all!
Lost am I in detritus shall
nature is such a pansy
I could blame her all
but clearly it is me
whose weakness — the stalk
my flower falls

I seek the single note
ivory key opens me
ebony be my fantasy
carry me away fluidly
carnival ride waves
dreamy rivulets be
tragic tone keeps me

Life is mother
— mother ate me
me so silently
— strength beneath
her layers of skin
smothered me
Her baby I’ll always be

Love-me kiss-me
smother-me hug-me
melt me womb-be

MY SICKNESS

CONFESSION for the heart
one who knows the pain
a sharp knife
— to the soul

All things I see and hear
whether touch or smell
is poetic
— to my ear

Life drives me maddingly so
the words slide off me tender
and into a skillet
— where they burn

Wish I do for a release
into a world from pain and fear
my soul mate come unto me
for I fear the time
— too late

GOLDEN WHEAT

WE laughed within the wheat
golden field of summer bliss
running like
— youth burned
the feet of our souls

The sun touched my heart
as you laid upon the field
I gave in — nature gave way
the skies fueled passion-gold
and my soul died into you

I DIG LOVE

I DIG love
like it’s honey
I dig love
in the morning
I dig love
…so sunny

What you say
liqurious lips
passion bites
and I sing
scream and grind

I dig love
hm – oh yeah
in the morning
and sunset too
mid-day sweets

I dig love…
yes I do
mostly I dig
— you

LIFE BY NUMBERS

LOVE seeps into affairs
my sweet love…
Speaks in ancient words
sweet love
burns the rule book
— so be strong love
changes the world
and doesn’t paint
life by numbers
sweet love…

Who you want love
isn’t by any name
the tongue can’t speak
the feeling you have
so you’re going to have
to take the tiger
by its tail sweet love
and devour it’s heart
Love is a chore
for the strongest hearts

CHASING HARE

I SHAN’T be long this day
for I am gathering
the brood
Sister bring the daisies
as sometimes
— the hare devour
Leave the cupboard spirits
and tend to father’s farm
— my hands are raw and bare!
And tonight I have a grand affair
the genteel
— sprouts my field
and I’ve nothing for my hare
Your foolery spoils my day
curse be a ruined affair!

DEATH INTERRUPTED

I INTERRUPTED the death
of a quaint soul this day
who wandered needlessly
across frozen fields in May
She spoke a single word
beloved

Her soul cleaved into
part of a half from two
Gently held within my hand
With a word I put them
— back into a whole
and then I spoke
a single word…
beloved

FIRE DROPS

WHEN I meet true love
I shall know
— the ice upon my heart
shall burst into a mist
of brilliant fire drops

PERCEPTION

PERCEPTION made its way
the grand entrance just today
it entered with a cloak
— barely if I may
while watching me
such eternal depth of sight
I felt a chilling choke
Aware was I of something
dark and ill from my senses
— I turned the other eye
